The Ajman Transport Authority has announced that the number of users of the Abra maritime transport service reached 19,428 passengers during the first half of 2026.
Engineer Sami Ali Al Jallaf, Executive Director of the Public Transport and Licensing Corporation, affirmed that these indicators reflect the position of the Abra service as one of the effective transport options in the Emirate and its role in diversifying modes of transport and providing a comfortable and safe transport experience for customers and visitors.
Al Jallaf noted that the Authority continues to enhance maritime transport services in accordance with best practices, meeting the needs of the public through monitoring operational performance and developing service levels, thereby supporting the smooth flow of movement and providing multiple mobility options within the Emirate.
Through the Abra services, the Ajman Transport Authority seeks to support a more integrated transport ecosystem that enhances the customer experience and keeps pace with the Emirate’s aspirations towards sustainable and highly efficient transport services.
