The Board of Trustees of the International Charity Organization (IHC) convened its first meeting of 2026, chaired by H.E. Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi. The session, attended by board members and H.E. Dr. Khalid Abdel Wahab Al Khaja, Secretary-General of IHC, resulted in the approval of a specialized Risk Management Plan for international operations. This plan aims to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of charitable activities in accordance with international best practices, while protecting resources and achieving the highest levels of compliance and governance.
The meeting reviewed the 2026 Ramadan Campaign report, which represented a major milestone in the organization's efforts and the volume of its projects locally and internationally. The Board also approved a new organizational structure designed to develop the institutional work system, contributing to higher performance efficiency, enhanced operational flexibility, and support for the expansion of humanitarian programs and projects. Furthermore, a new Investment Regulation Policy was sanctioned to ensure the sustainable and secure growth of IHC’s financial resources in support of its strategic objectives.
H.E. Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi stated that the approved decisions reflect the organization’s commitment to developing its institutional performance and keeping pace with changes in the humanitarian sector. He noted that the Board prioritizes governance and risk management to ensure the sustainability of charitable initiatives and maximize their global impact. He added that the next phase will focus on building an integrated work system that supports innovation and solidifies IHC’s position as a leading humanitarian institution on both local and international levels.
His Excellency directed the importance of investing in institutional capacity building and human capital as a top priority to achieve excellence in initiative execution. He emphasized the need to adopt digital solutions and modern technologies to develop work mechanisms, enhance transparency, and ensure rapid response. He also stressed the importance of instilling a culture of innovation in charitable work to guarantee resource sustainability and maximize humanitarian impact, in line with the UAE’s vision for global leadership in philanthropy.
For his part, H.E. Dr. Khalid Abdel Wahab Al Khaja expressed his gratitude to all IHC departments and field teams for their continuous efforts, particularly during the Ramadan 2026 campaign. The campaign achieved significant qualitative milestones, with the total value of executed projects exceeding AED 188 million, reflecting the deep trust of donors in the organization’s programs and execution efficiency. He explained that IHC is preparing to launch the Adha campaign, which includes a wide range of initiatives to support underprivileged families and implement sustainable development projects in several countries, confirming that the organization continues to expand its scope and enhance its humanitarian impact in accordance with the UAE’s humanitarian vision.
