Elite Athletes Clash in CrossFit Championship at Ajman Government Sports Tournament 2026

The CrossFit Championship got underway as part of the Ajman Government Sports Tournament 2026, drawing an elite field of seasoned athletes who delivered high-intensity performances across a series of demanding physical challenges. The event was held in an electrifying atmosphere that underscored the surging popularity of functional fitness sports, firmly establishing the championship as one of the tournament’s flagship competitions.

The inclusion of CrossFit in the tournament’s programme reflects the Higher Organizing Committee’s strategic vision to diversify its sporting calendar and keep pace with evolving global fitness trends. The championship also succeeded in attracting participants from a wide range of nationalities, broadening the appeal of strength and endurance disciplines and reinforcing sport as an integral part of daily life.

Competitors in both the women’s and open men’s categories pushed their limits through a rigorous series of challenges that tested strength, speed and stamina in equal measure. The arena was charged with a fierce competitive spirit, with enthusiastic crowds and participants feeding off each other’s energy throughout the day.

At the conclusion of the first day’s competitions, winners were honoured by His Excellency Ahmed Al Raeesi, Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee, alongside Bati Thani Al Matroshi, representative of Iwan Group, the Gold Sponsor of the Ajman Government Sports Tournament, in recognition of the athletes’ outstanding performances.

In the women’s teams category, RX Performance claimed the top podium position, with Team Bodylab finishing in second place and Last Min rounding out the podium in third.

In the men’s teams category, CrossFit Al Ain delivered a dominant performance to secure first place, while Lavish Team earned second place and Raptors X took third.

The Higher Organizing Committee affirmed that the addition of CrossFit to the tournament’s roster of events reflects its commitment to embracing the full spectrum of contemporary sports, creating a dynamic and inclusive competitive environment that caters to diverse community interests and champions sport as a way of life.
