Ajman Transport Records 3.32 Million Taxi Journeys in Q1 with 5.6% Growth
The Ajman Transport Authority announced a 5.6% increase in the number of taxi journeys during the first quarter of the current year, with the total reaching 3,322,268 trips, compared to 3,146,769 during the same period last year, an increase of 175,499 journeys.
Engineer Sami Ali Al Jallaf, Executive Director of the Public Transport and Licensing Corporation, affirmed that this growth reflects the rising demand for taxi services in the Emirate, characterised by high levels of safety and operational readiness, as well as the use of modern vehicles equipped to the highest standards, contributing to a safe, comfortable, and reliable mobility experience for users.
He noted that taxis represent one of the vital components of Ajman’s transport system, given their important role in meeting daily mobility needs efficiently and flexibly. He added that the Authority continues to develop its services, elevate the quality of its fleet, and adopt modern solutions, thereby enhancing traffic flow and improving quality of life in the Emirate.
