The Ajman Municipality and Planning Department announced the issuance of 778 completion certificates during the first quarter of 2026, compared to 613 during the same period in 2025, representing growth of 26.9%. This reflects the continued urban activity in the Emirate and supports the strategic objective of comprehensive urban management, in alignment with Ajman Vision 2030 directions.

Dr. Mohammed Ahmed bin Omair Al Muhairi, Executive Director of the Infrastructure Development Sector, affirmed that the rise in completion certificates reflects the vitality of the construction and building sector in the Emirate of Ajman, and translates the Emirate’s directions towards promoting sustainable development and providing an integrated urban environment that supports quality of life. He noted that Ajman continues to consolidate its position as an attractive destination for investment and residence, owing to its advanced infrastructure and legislation supportive of growth.

He explained that all completion certificates were issued following verification of full compliance with building requirements and the fulfilment of approved safety standards and technical specifications, in coordination with strategic partners, ensuring the highest levels of quality and sustainability in completed projects.

Engineer Ahmed Sultan Al Nuaimi, Director of the Buildings Department, stated that the Department continues to develop its operational framework and streamline procedures to ensure the delivery of highly efficient services. He noted that the Department provides multiple channels for submitting applications, contributing to the acceleration of transaction processing and raising customer satisfaction levels.

He added that a completion certificate is granted upon the completion of construction works in accordance with approved plans and compliance with technical and engineering specifications and all applicable requirements, affirming the important role played by contracting companies and consultancy offices in adhering to approved standards, thereby enhancing the quality of projects executed in the Emirate.

The eastern sector accounted for the largest share of completion certificates during Q1, whilst the central sector and city centre witnessed the execution of qualitative projects reflecting the diversity and balance of the urban landscape across the various areas of the Emirate of Ajman.
