Ajman Economy Intensifies Inspection Campaigns to Enhance Market Stability
The Ajman Department of Economic Development continues to carry out intensive inspection and field campaigns across markets and commercial establishments, as part of its efforts to protect consumers, enhance market stability and monitor the availability of essential commodities.
The Department has conducted 350 inspection rounds and activated its regulatory and community tools through the “We Monitor Together” service, which enables consumers to directly report any unlawful practices in commercial outlets, with the aim of strengthening community partnership in market oversight.
Saud Sultan Al Shamri, Director of the Inspection and Commercial Protection Department, stated: “The Department continues to carry out its inspection and awareness campaigns intensively, stemming from its responsibility to protect consumers and enhance market stability in the Emirate of Ajman.”
He added: “Essential products are available in the markets, and our inspection teams are continuously monitoring any violations, which are addressed in accordance with approved procedures.”
Al Shamri further stated: “The situation in the markets is stable, and the Department is directly and actively monitoring market activity and retail outlets,” calling on the public to report any violations through approved channels, contributing to consumer protection and maintaining economic balance in the Emirate.
The Department affirmed that the integration of efforts between competent authorities, the commercial sector and consumers represents a fundamental factor in supporting market stability and enhancing confidence therein, noting the continuation of its regulatory and awareness campaigns to ensure the protection of the community, safeguarding of consumer rights and the sustained availability of goods and products in the markets.
