His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, has issued Emiri Decree No. (2) of 2026 concerning fees for cases and applications at the Rental Disputes Settlement Centre in the Emirate of Ajman.

The Decree stipulates that the Rental Disputes Settlement Centre in the Emirate of Ajman shall collect the prescribed fees in consideration of the registration and recording of cases and applications.

Under the Decree, the Centre shall collect from the appellant a security deposit of AED 1,000, where the judgment under appeal falls within the final jurisdiction of the Primary Rental Committee, and the appeal is lodged on grounds of violation of rules of jurisdiction relating to public order, or due to nullity in the judgment or decision, or nullity in the proceedings that affected the judgment or decision.

Pursuant to the Decree, the Case Management Office shall not accept the appeal petition unless accompanied by proof of payment of this security deposit, and the deposit shall be forfeited in the event that the appeal is ruled inadmissible.

The Decree also set the security deposit for filing a petition for review at AED 2,000, which shall be refunded if the petition is accepted, and forfeited if it is ruled unacceptable, rejected or inadmissible.

The Decree further defines the mechanism for collecting rental violation fines, whereby the Rental Disputes Settlement Centre shall be responsible for collecting the prescribed fines, and the Municipality and Planning Department shall not collect fines a second time for the same violations.

The Decree also repeals previous legislation relating to judicial fees for rental disputes in Ajman, while certain provisions thereof shall remain in force until the issuance of the regulations, bylaws and decisions that supersede them.
